Mandi and Steven

I am Amanda Parrish (go by Mandi) and have been involved in horses for the past twenty plus years.  I have been riding since I was 7 years old when I joined the local 4-H in the town I lived in.  When I was 13, I was able to get my first horse, Sweetpea.  I had her for almost 20 years before she passed away at the ripe old age of 37ish, so this is my link to keep me close to horses.

I started making bracelets because we have lost a few along the way and for some reason we kept the tails.  My mom and I really wanted to have bracelets made and I knew that I could braid hair really well - I was taught to be a perfectionist on a horse's turnout for shows.  I decided I was going to give it a try. Flowie riding SweetpeaI LOVED IT!  So this business derived from me wanting bracelets from our past friends.  I now have bracelets from my mustang, Sweetpea, and Foxy so I can keep them with me.

I have had the honor of making bracelets and keychains from the 2013 Belmont Stakes winner, Palace Malice.  Getting to do that was one of the highlights of my business!  However, I treat every tail as if it is special - because it IS!

Cherished Horsehair grew into Cherished Crafty Creations in 2015 when we realized I loved making all sorts of items, and I was good at it!  Now, we offer handbags, totes, wallets, pouches, lanyards, jewelry, horsehair keepsakes, and even tumblers!  All of our items are made with great attention to detail and quality products.

Cherish those memories EVERY DAY...and make it a priority to be happy.

Steven: The Man Behind the Scenes...and at events chatting it up!

Who better to work with than your amazing husband? Steven is awesome at helping me get a great set up at events...and doing a lot of the heavy lifting along with dragging ALL the bins of stuff that has to go with us to an event.  He is also my #1 supporter!  If you want something made from paracord, this is your guy!
