Welcome to 2025!

Welcome to 2025!

We are bringing in the new year with a change of direction! Life has been busy, hectic, and a bit crazy the last few years. This past December, Steven (the hubs) and I decided to participate in a local market with our makes. If you are local and haven't checked out Paisley Grace Makery - you need to! While we had a blast, sold some stuff, and met great people, it isn't the road we really want to take.

OK, so onto the real reason for this post. Last year I decided it was time to take control of my own happiness.  Granted, I'm VERY happy in my life but over the years I had become unhealthy.  One year after the "new me beginnings" I'm healthier, happier, and ready to dive into a world I have wanted to for a long time. I still have work to do on me - I have a goal of running a 5K before my 41st birthday (December). I have NEVER even run a mile in my life. Along with that comes time for riding my horse, going to the beach with the family, and FINALLY going to Sea World this year.

With all that said, ultimately I love crafting and being a maker. I also love teaching others how to make things. Therefore we are stepping into the new year with a new vision for Cherished Crafty Creations. I will be creating video and step by step tutorials on how to make many things. Every time I make something (out of necessity because I want to make things instead of buy them) I am told I need to post how to make them. IT IS TIME!

What can you expect to see? Well, my plans are to have videos- including the OOPS parts - on making tumblers, pretty pens, badge holders, horsehair jewelry, wallets, handbags, lanyards, Christmas decorations, and even barn necessities. Also keep an eye out for a review of the materials and equipment that I use regularly in my makes. I have people asking me all the time what to use and I have my preferences from over a decade of experience with many of the items.

Will I still be selling items? Yes. But it will not be my main focus because I realized my passion is in the making and teaching side and not the selling and markets side. Sometimes what I make in the tutorials will be listed on my website. I also plan on making DIY Kits down the road for some of the items that can work that way.

I'm going to make a plan and my goal will be a weekly post for a while. Want to see something made or learn how to make it? Leave me a comment below! I would love to hear from you!
